Overview
Palo Verde National Park protects one of the most critical wetlands and dry forest sanctuaries in Central America. Board a stable, shaded boat along the Tempisque River alongside a specialized river naturalist.
Witness enormous American crocodiles basking on sandbanks, howler and white-faced capuchin monkeys moving through riverside trees, green iguanas, and an incredible variety of aquatic and migratory birds like jabiru storks, roseate spoonbills, and herons. Followed by an authentic Guanacastecan lunch cooked on wood-fired stoves.
