Overview
Caño Island Biological Reserve is world-renowned as one of the best marine habitats in Central America. Situated 12 nautical miles offshore from Drake Bay, this protected island boasts incredible underwater visibility (up to 20 meters / 65 feet) and pristine coral platforms.
During this expedition, you will take part in two distinct snorkeling sessions (45 minutes to 1 hour each) led by an ICT-certified marine guide. Snorkelers routinely encounter white-tip reef sharks resting on sandy bottoms, gentle sea turtles, stingrays, mobula rays, and schools of thousands of jacks, barracudas, and angel fish. After the second immersion, the boat docks at the secluded, palm-fringed San Josecito Beach for a freshly prepared picnic lunch before returning to Drake Bay.
