Overview
Depart early from Cahuita/Puerto Viejo across the Sixaola border into Panama. Take a covered speed boat from Almirante port to Isla Colón.
Transfer overland to Bocas del Drago and relax at the world-famous Starfish Beach (Playa de las Estrellas) where dozens of massive orange starfish rest in waist-deep turquoise waters. Enjoy a fresh seafood or Caribbean lunch before returning.
Border taxes ($8 CR exit, $8 Panama entry) paid in cash at border.
