Arenal Volcano and Termals Baldi ( 3 PM )

Leaving from the town of la Fortuna we will head towards the west side of the volcano, there you will experience a hike through the rain forest, for about 2 hours at a very moderate rate. On the hike we will expert to see some gorgeous birds, monkeys, and lost of wildlife.

After exiting the rain forest, we get to the viewing point at sundown where you will enjoy a cold beverage with a chance to see the red glowing lava rolling down the mountain. Our local naturalist guide will share with you all the facts and history of the most active volcano in Costa Rica.

Finally, you will get the opportunity to relax and soak in the hot spring waters of your preference.

pic After making this hiking we will enjoy a refreshment and wide information about our colossal friend.

To continue with the discovery our guide will show you where hotsprigs come to life and where you will perceive the sulfur odor and an emerald green color lake due to the deposit of copper on it. Later we will view, if nature allows to, an spectacular sightseeing of the volcano for 1 hour.Back, after a long day full of adventure we will comment about this unforgettable day.

Cerro Chato Hike

pic Arenal Volcano's little big brother, Cerro Chato Volcano, is not as high or as active as its younger Located just off the southeast flank of Arenal Volcano, the smaller Volcan Cerro Chato is actually an older brother living in the shadow of its boisterous younger sibling. A truncated volcanic cone rising to some 1,140 meters, Cerro Chato Volcano has had no volcanic activity for the past 3,500 years, about the time when Arenal Volcano was just being born but it is a wonderful destination.

Pass through dense rainforest and marvel at the crystalline waters in the crater lagoon or have a dreamy paddle on its mirror surface. After leaving the crater you can climb down to the impressive La Fortuna waterfall and have a rewarding swim at the base of these magnificent falls.
